Hunter Galvanising – Industrial grade protection against coastal corrosion. Creates a metallurgical bond that outlasts the building itself.
Norglass Norshield - Applied over galvanising for maximum protection and weather resistance. Critical for Sydney's conditions.
Norglass Northane – Two-component coating provides superior hardness, gloss retention, and colour stability over 15+ years.
Every gate is forged by hand from solid iron bar stock. Not hollow steel tubes. Not pressed panels with decorative bits welded on. Real ironwork with real weight and presence.
We've designed gates for heritage properties across Woollahra, Pymble, and the Upper North Shore. If your property has heritage requirements, we design to meet them.
Full immersion galvanising protects from the inside out. Essential for coastal properties in Vaucluse, Rose Bay, and Mosman. No rust creeping through from hidden welds.
Federation scrollwork. Art Deco geometry. Clean contemporary lines. We design each gate to complement your property's architecture and existing metalwork.
We integrate with all major automation systems. Swing gates, sliding gates, underground motors, above-ground arms. Or keep it simple with manual operation.
Anti-corrosive primer plus two-pacak polyurethane topcoat. Colour-matched to your property. Built for Point Piper's harbour breezes and Wahroonga's summer storms.
Salt air destroys standard gates. That powder-coated steel gate might look fine today, but moisture gets into every joint and weld. Within years, rust is working its way through from the inside. By the time you see it on the surface, the structural damage is done.
Our solution: Hot-dip galvanising before any paint goes on. The zinc coating creates a metallurgical bond with the iron, protecting from the inside out. It's why we confidently install gates in Rose Bay, Mosman, and right along the harbour.
Drive through any suburb and you'll see the same gates repeated house after house. Pressed steel panels. Aluminium slats. Powder-coated black. Functional, but completely generic.
Our solution: Every gate is designed specifically for your property. Federation curves for heritage homes. Art Deco patterns for interwar properties. Clean lines for contemporary architecture. Your gate should look like it belongs, not like it came from a catalogue.
Poorly crafted steel gates look fine when they're new. Five years later, they're sagging on their hinges, dragging on the ground and making the motor work twice as hard. The hollow construction just can't hold the weight long-term.
Our solution: Solid wrought iron construction with properly engineered hinges and posts. Our gates don't sag because they're built from materials that can handle the load. The gate we install today will hang the same way in twenty years.
Your property has heritage restrictions. The existing gates need replacing, but the council wants something sympathetic to the original architecture. Modern gates won't get approved. And you can't find anyone who does traditional ironwork.
Our solution: We've worked with heritage councils across Woollahra, Mosman, Killara, and Pymble. We can match existing period details, replicate original gate styles, and provide the documentation councils need. Most approvals come through in weeks.
It depends on size, design complexity, and automation requirements. Larger gates, complex designs, sliding mechanisms, or premium automation will cost more. We provide fixed quotes after a site visit so you know exactly what you're paying.
Most driveway gate projects take 8-12 weeks from site visit to installation. That includes design, council approvals (if required), fabrication, galvanising and finishing. Complex heritage projects may take longer.
Sometimes. If the existing gates are structurally sound and properly hung, we can often retrofit automation. If they're sagging, rusting, or poorly constructed, it's usually better to start fresh with gates designed for automation from the beginning.
We'll recommend the right system based on your gate type, usage patterns, and access requirements. All automation comes with full warranty and service support.
It depends on your driveway. Swing gates need space behind the gate line to open. If your driveway slopes up from the street, or you have limited space, sliding gates are usually better. We'll assess your site and recommend the best option during the site visit.
Yes. We've completed driveway gate projects across heritage conservation areas in Woollahra, Mosman, Pymble, and the Upper North Shore. We can match existing details, replicate original designs and match any paint finish you might have, even if you don't know the colour!
No. We hot-dip galvanise every gate before applying any paint or finish. This creates a zinc coating that protects from the inside out. Even if the surface gets scratched, the zinc layer underneath keeps protecting the iron. It's the same process used on most harbour infrastructure and is essential for coastal properties.
Aluminium is lighter, weaker and more expensive. Wrought iron is heavier, stronger, and looks substantially better. Aluminium gates can dent and flex easily. Wrought iron gates are solid and permanent. For properties in premium suburbs, the difference is obvious.
